Dan Martin has had extensive experience on stage, TV and
film. On stage he has toured with the Negro Ensemble Company as Captain
Davenport in "A Soldier’s Story", and as Theo in "Ceremonies in Dark Old
Men". He also toured Europe with Classic Theater International in "One
Flew Over the Cookoo’s Nest", and worked with Yale Rep’s Lloyd Richards
in Lee Blessing’s "Cobb", and has performed in "Five on the Black Hand
Side" with Towne Street.
On television he has co-starred on the new "Rin Tin Tin K-9 Cop" and
HBO’s critically acclaimed "Laurel Avenue". He has made numerous guest
appearances on many other TV shows from "Melrose Place" to " Tales From
the Crypt " and from "NYPD Blue" to the Fox hit "Malcolm in the Middle".
In film he’s currently appearing on screen in "Enough", and he’s been
seen in Steven King’s Sleepwalkers , The Stand, Beverly Hills Cop III,
Rush Hour, Always Outnumbered, the upcoming films Angel Blade, Sacred is
the Flesh, Crocodile II and many, many more. He directed August Wilson’s
"Fences" for the National Black Theater Festival, and most recently
"Ambiguity" for the Towne Street Theater.
